Teacher's day !
Teacher's Day !

This festival is traditionally celebrated to pay their respects to their teachers and express their gratitude. The birth date of the second President of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5 September 1888, has been celebrated as Teacher's Day since 1962.
To celebrate this occasion, students perform songs and plays, acknowledging the contribution of their teachers. Students also show their affection to their favourite teachers in the form of cards, speeches and performances. In the wake of corona virus pandemic, all the schools and colleges have been closed for the last few months. With online sessions, students and teachers celebrated Teachers' Day 2020 virtually. Every year, students convey their wishes and gratitude. Even in our college, NITIE Mumbai, we had a virtual celebration and it was an honor to be its part. I got the chance to dedicate my performance to my teachers and mentors!

I would like to highlight Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's quote, "The purpose of education is to make good human beings with skill and expertise. Enlightened human beings can be created by teachers." Grateful to have all my teachers, who have always been our guiding light and support system!
