Business Communication
Guest Lecture by Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni
Hey Friends !
We had a guest lecture by Mr Nikhil, Alumnus of NITIE. Our honorable professor T.Prasad invited him and asked him to give a lecture on Business Communication. He spoke on the aspects of Business Communication and how he used it effectively in Consulting and Personal Brand Building.
Mr Nikhil Kulkarni introduced himself and it was delight to listen to him. He used to work at KPMG before quitting and starting his own travel website company, Darwin Tech and it focuses on the segment of holiday planning. Initially it was catering only to the B2B clients but recently it has started operating in the B2C segment as well. The website user-friendly experience of planning a holiday, generating the itinerary and makes booking everything an easy experience.
He focused on the aspect of why and when to create a personal brand?
He showed and elaborated us the Pyramid principle. He explained about what are Objectives of any document, and who are the audience, what are the contexts in which this content will be consumed.
He emphasized on the Personal brand that brings credibility to you. He taught us about how an argument is put forward based on Idea, Data, Fact and Logic. A hierarchical structure must be used to organize your ideas and supporting evidence. It reinforces the way human mind sets information into logical groups.
So this was an overview of our Guest Lecture by Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni. It was a very informative and fruitful session. The brand value concept is very admiring and I will definitely look forward to apply this. Glad to be a part of his lecture.
Thankyou :)
